In 1991, Ray Eid and his partner formed A Cleaner World, taking on their first contract: Redback Brewery Hotel. ACW proudly opened their first office on Buckley Street in Essendon with a small staff and a heap of enthusiasm.
A second office came in 1995, when Ray and his partner decided to convert an old shoe factory in Coburg into modern offices. Ray then became the sole Managing Director, his original passion unchanged. In the next two decades, expansion saw the company open offices interstate, with clients in major cities and regional centres throughout Australia. The next period of growth saw the head office move to a modern facility in Tullamarine.
What started as a small cleaning business which focused on pubs, clubs and offices has expanded into the ACW group – specialist divisions across commercial, aged care and not-for-profit, hospitality, and property maintenance. Although we’ve grown, our values remain the same, and we still treat every client as if they were our only client!
